Fall Arts Preview

By Sara Ziegler / World-Herald staff writer

The speakers coming to the area this fall will make you laugh, think, maybe even cry.

Geraldine Brooks, author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning “March,” will deliver Creighton University’s Women and Health Lecture on Sept. 14. Another Brooks — New York Times columnist David — will talk about this year’s crazy election at the Lied Center in Lincoln on Oct. 4.

That won’t be the only topic drawing laughs. Comedians coming our way include Bill Burr, who will perform at the Orpheum on Oct. 1, and Brian Regan, coming to the Lied Center on Dec. 9.
